The Women's Health Center offers:

- Expanded Reception and Waiting Room
- Expanded Holding Nursery
- On-Call Sleeping Room
- Operating Room conveniently located within the Women's Health Center for delivery of all scheduled or unscheduled cesarean sections
- Birthing bar, labor balls, peanut balls, birthing stool, delivery mirror
- Skin-to-skin contact with your baby immediately after birth
- Family-centered maternity care, which means we put you and your family first while supporting 24/7 rooming-in with baby through maternal and neonatal bedside care and bedside shift report
- Locked unit with 24/7 advanced security system including constant camera and video surveillance
- Free Wi-Fi & plenty of workspace for your support person
- Fully stocked kitchenette for patients
- Coffee, water, and ice machine for family members and support persons
- Excellent nutrition with full menu room service between 6:30am and 6:30pm
- Complimentary celebration meal after delivery for you and your support person
- Level I Nursery
- Highly skilled and qualified OB, L&D, and newborn physicians
- Highly experienced compassionate nurses with every nurse certified in Adult Cardio-Pulmonary Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation
- 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio while in active labor
- On-site lactation services and support during and after your stay
- Newborn and new mother home visits available after discharge from the hospital; available within a 35-mile radius of Stillwater; Talk with your baby’s physician if interested
- A variety of childbirth, parenting, newborn care, and breastfeeding classes taught by the Women's Health Center's highly trained nurses and employees
Stillwater Medical’s state-of-the-art expansion of our Women’s Health Center (formerly Maternal Child Health Unit) greatly increases our capacity of care. Project upgrades help meet the needs of our current and future patients, staff, and physicians. Patient rooms have private shower facilities, updated equipment for newborn monitoring, and larger, more inviting spaces. With this addition, the opportunity for a patient to stay in the same room from delivery to discharge will be more common, creating a better experience for new mothers and their families.
Our physicians, nurses, and staff will be able to efficiently care for even more mothers and newborn babies in 14,190 SF of new and 11,400 SF of renovated space. From patients to visitors, providers to volunteers, all will benefit from the enhancement of this important area.
