Dr. Biernat is a 1980 graduate of the Warsaw Medical School in Warsaw Poland, and worked as an internal medical specialist in Warsaw prior to coming to the U.S. in 1989. She decided to broaden her experience, and graduated from an anesthesia residency based in Chicago, IL in 1996.

Dr. Biernat is certified by the Board of Anesthesiologists and has been working at Stillwater Medical Center for 21 years. She loves SMC, and enjoys taking care of patients in the operating room and in the Maternal Child Health Unit.

In her spare time, Dr. Biernat enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and husband of 36 years, Alex. She loves to visit her daughter, Katherine, who just graduated from an anesthesia residency in Durham, NC, and her husband, Paul, who is a fellow in gastroenterology. She especially loves to spend time with her two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Marie Claire.
